Sunday bullets
I've got nothing worthy of an entire post so what better way to fill a post than with BULLETS?!

  • I have to work early tomorrow because my co-worker has to have her 18 year-old cat put to sleep. That really sucks. (the thing about the cat, not about having to work early.)
  • The Colts are NOT having a good game today. At least they scored.
  • I am craving...something. I'm just not sure what that something is.
  • I really want all the political bullsh** to stop. And I am not talking about the bullsh** from the candidates. I'm talking about mean people online. Yes, I will gladly tell you who I will vote for, but I will not sit here and say horrible demeaning things about the other guys. I might tell you why I vote the way I do but I won't tell you why the other guys are so 'horrible.' I won't continue to go on and on and on about how 'scary' the other ones are. Mainly because I don't find any of them to be scary. They are just politicians. All politicians lie in some way shape or form. Deal with it.
  • I really need a McCain/Palin sign for my yard. Even though Bubba laughs at me.
  • I hope Dan wins BB10.
  • No good TV premieres this week except The Biggest Loser which I will watch and then cry and then get depressed. I am a glutton for punishment.
  • I've got nothing else, right now. Everybody have a good week!
Edited to add: The Colts won!! Yee Ha!

The end of the road

Sadly, my Colts lost today to the Chargers. What a game, though! I spent the entire time cheering, yelling, jumping up and down, clapping and telling the stupid announcers to just shut up, already. It was nerve wracking! In the end, the Manning Magic just wasn't enough. I still love my boys in blue, though (especially Peyton and Saturday, obviously) and I am totally ready for next year! We couldn't have beat the Pats, anyway. Even I can admit that.

At least I can watch the Super Bowl commercials this year without worrying about the game!

I can't watch or I'll throw up!
OMG, this Colts/Pats game is making me so nervous. I can't stand to watch. Ok, I'm watching. No, I can't. Ok, I have to.

I love my Colts.

Whew! Wow! What a game! The Pats did it but it was a good game. Very exciting! I love Peyton and the boys.

And, I didn't throw up!!

It's Sunday and I need a new post. This is what you get.
  • My husband bought me some breakfast lean pockets this morning. They are yummy and it is a change from my usual yogurt, banana, english muffin breakfast. They are only 3 points. Kind of small and I could really eat all four in the box which would only be 12 points. That's not TOO bad considering how many points I get per day. Anyway...they are really good.
  • Did you ever see that episode of Seinfeld where Jerry's building lost water pressure in their showers? So then, Jerry and Kramer's hair looked bad because of it. Yeah, that's us right now. We've lost water pressure in the shower and I hate it! We've got to find the problem and fix it. SO not fulfilling. As showers go, anyway.
  • The Colts play today. Yay! Go Colts! I think I might manage to stay awake for the 1pm game as opposed to the night game they played the other day which I slept all the way through. I am so old.
  • I need to go take some meds for this headache. I had one last night, too. Ugh.
  • I'm watching "WarGames." I heart nostalgia.
Ok..so I took a little break. A few hours or so. :) Since I was here last, the Colts won! Yee ha! I loves my Colts! I find Peyton a little more HAWT every time I watch a game. But then again, who DON'T I find hot?

I figured out our new scanner today so I scanned some old photos and flickr'd 'em. Click the flickr button over there on the side bar if you wanna see.

I FEEL thinner. Like I've lost some inches. I HOPE I have. I really need to start my workouts, though, to get my metabolism going. It's the only way I will be successful at any kind of weight loss. Speaking of which, Brianna has lost 5.8 lbs now. She rocks!

I'll be on vacation starting next Friday after work. Don't go congratulating me or anything. Bubba will be out of town. Who is going to cook?!?! Who will do the laundry?!?! Who will do all those wifely-ish things?? Some vacation. Heh, that's what my Charlotte's web would say instead of "some pig." God, I crack myself up.

Could this post get anymore...NOTHING? I think not.

Ok, I think I'll leave you with a photo of a Halloween from my past. I am pretty sure this photo is from when I was in pre-school, making it from about 1975. Too bad you can't see how cute I was. hee Enjoy!

Boy got MAD culinary skills skillz

Bubba rocks, no? This is the cake he made for the big "CUBEGATING" party at work. It is Colts KA-RAZEE at work and all over Indiana right now. We've had spirit week at work...hat day, boot day (to stomp out those Bears. cheesy? Why yes it was...)etc... Tomorrow is Blue Day...AKA wear-as-much-blue-as-you-can-without-getting-fired-day. I'll be donning my brand spankin' new Colts shirt. You know you are jealous.

My poor Braelyn is sick. I got home from work and she was burning with fever. She'd been lying down sleeping since she got home from school. I gave her meds and a shower and then she threw up all over the floor in the living room. She was so ready for bed and just a short time ago woke up puking again. Needless to say, she won't be going to school tomorrow.

Watched most of Open Season earlier and I must say that Gary Sinise rocks that movie as the crazy hunter! (I could be a little biased since he is my favorite actor EVAH!) The whole movie is really funny. I highly recommend it to the two of you who haven't seen it yet. I am always months late at seeing movies.

I forgot that I was supposed to fill you in on my nerdy mom-ish-ness. There are visual aids that go along with that so that will have to wait until tomorrow because I don't feel like taking photos right now.

Nighty night, y'all!

801 (because I can't think of a title)
Jaw update...I know I keep talking about it, but imagine for a moment how very frustrating it is for someone who likes to eat can't enjoy food anymore. (there is something very grammatically wrong with that sentence but I am too tired to fix it) Besides helping her lose 11 pounds so far, it is VERY frustrating! Anyway, I can open my mouth a tad more today! Yay me! It's far from being normal, but today, I could fit a York Peppermint Patty between my teeth. Hallelujah!

Rob a jewelry store and tell 'em make me a grill... yeah, that song is playing now, what of it??

I will have myself an mp3 player in the next few days. No, it's not an iPod, and yes, it is used, but I kind of feel like one of the cool kids now. Brianna got her birthday present a little early...a new cell phone that has an mp3 player in it so she is giving me her mp3 player. She has to teach me how to use it first. I'm a dork that way. Plus, I need to unload it of all the songs I don't like...that should be fun.

So, I don't know if you've heard but that little team from Indianapolis is goin' to the SUPER BOWL. Ya know..the COLTS!! Yeah, Indiana has gone Colts crazy and that is fine by me. I love me some Colts. Bubba bought me a new Colts shirt to wear Sunday. We're having our own little Super Bowl party here. Well, if you can call me, Bubba and two kids a party. You know me. I'm totally not about a crowd of people in a small space. Party or not. We're still trying to decide what food to have.

We get our new carpet in a couple of weeks. Be prepared for photos. I'm warning you now.

Are you guys proud of me? I haven't been talking about American Idol. I'm watching but the auditions suck so bad, I'm not bothering to talk about it. Be proud, your little blogger is growing up!

Ok, it's late and I need to get sleep. Tomorrow I will tell you about how I've joined the ranks of nerdy mom. Until then...toodles.

Colts and expensive stuff and Armed & Famous
Remember how I was all "Just wait and see! I WILL win the bet!" Um, yeah, not so much. Eh, it was silly of me anyway. I am a computer addict. I HAVE to check my email when I get home. HAVE. TO. I did last like two days so, ya know, I should be proud of that accomplishment, right?

Ok, moving on.

COLTS WIN! COLTS WIN! The Colts just won the first play-off game!!! Yee Ha!!!

Anyway...do you know what I hate? Brand name obsession. Back when the 80s died down and izod kinda faded away, for the preppy wannabes anyway, people kind of got away from the whole gotta-have-brand-name thing. In high school I kinda longed for some of the brands, but I was content just getting new clothes so I didn't argue too much. So finally, gone was Liz Claiborn, Vanderbilt, iZod etc... I know, there still was some brand name love. Nike, Addidas, Levi, etc. But for a while there, it didn't much matter what kind of jeans you wore or what kind of purse you carried. That was fine by me because by the time the 90s came around, along with the whole grunge thing, I was poor as dirt. I was young and married and poor. Now I'm old and married and poor, but I'm straying from my original thought here. Really I did have one.

Back in the 80s we spent our money on hair spray, mini-skirts, pink and blue eyeshadow and perms. Now? It's getting nails and toes done, hair colored, Coach purses that cost hundreds, shoes that cost more than a house payment and the list goes on. The list is long of the name brands that kids and adults salivate over. Sometimes I am just glad to be poor because there is no question about whether to buy these things or not. I just can't. Maybe I would feel differently if I had more money, but I don't think so. I don't think I could spend a ton of money on a purse that gets thrown around in the car, in the house, on the floor, etc. You should see the inside of my purse right now.

I suppose some would see me complaining about this as jealousy, but really, it's not. In all honesty, yes I would get my nails done regularly if I could. I just can't see having to take out a loan to buy an outfit with a matching purse when I can get the same basic thing at Wal-mart for much cheaper. I guess what I am saying is I am a simple girl with simple tastes. Why I felt like sharing that, I'm not sure.

It's funny because when Bubba and I have our once monthly conversation about what we would do with our lottery winnings,(it's mandatory) I never even think of clothes for myself. I've just gotten so used to wanting to spend money on my kids and not me, it doesn't occur to me.

Ok, I'm done with that. And by the way, if you are one who buys lots of name brands and gets your nails done etc...I'm not hating on you. Really, I'm not.

ARMED & FAMOUS starts this week!! You really need to watch and just see what kind of weirdos live here in my city! :) If you click on that link, you can watch some clips. It's pretty funny actually. I totally can't wait. Speaking of Erik Estrada....they all leave town this week and I officially had ZERO PONCH SIGHTINGS. *sigh* Ah well, it's all good. I would have hated a photo of me with him anyway. I hate ever photo ever taken of me.

Remember when I posted those photos of seeing Jack Osbourne and Wee Man in the park?? Well, here are the close ups. :) As you can see, I am not in them. I chose not to bug them (of course if it were Ponch I'd be all over him...) and just took photos.

click 'em if you wanna see 'em a little bigger
