| Facebook Status Updates Killed My Blog! |
Did you read the title? Sadly, it's true. I usually update my FB status with what is going on in my life and I have more readers there and well, it's made me lazy! There are lots of things I need to write here, however, I'm going to channel my inner Julie Chen and say, but first, I'm going to write a little about my Idol concert experience from Saturday.
So, we walked into Conseco Fieldhouse and some random guy gave us 2ND ROW TICKETS!! Oh man, were we ever stoked! And...um...wait...hang on. That was LAST year! Sadly, I did not run into my pretend best friend, greek god, Peter from Marquis Jet this year. No matter. We still had a great time!
Now, let me begin at the beginning. Rewind to Thursday and I am at work, doing a job that is out of my normal office so I get to listen to the radio. The contest for Idol tickets was called "Simon Says." They played a short snippet of Simon and then you had to be the 19th caller and repeat what Simon said verbatim. Long story short, I WON! Yay, me!! 4 tickets, not 2! Bonus! So, I proceed to email my co-workers and call everyone I know so I can brag and make everyone hate me.
I picked the tickets up that day after work and surprised the kids with them. Brianna was home from college for the long weekend and she already knew about the tickets. Braelyn jumped up and down and Jameson pouted because he thought I was only taking Braelyn like I did last year.
FF to Saturday and after getting off work, I ran home and changed clothes and we were off to Indy for the show. It was an uneventful ride to Indy as evidenced here by Jameson.

Only $5 to park and we headed into Conseco, past all the crazies who had been lined up to 'meet' the Idols since God knows when. One woman we passed on the stairs, who had to be at least 35 said, "Adam Lambert rocks my world!" I said, (to Brianna, of course, because far be it from me to start something in a crowd of Indiana Glamberts), "Too bad he's gay." Yes, I realize she may have only been speaking of his music, but I doubt it. What I wanted to do was stand in that crowd and yell, "None of y'all are turning him!" Anyway...
Then, we stood here for at least a half hour.
My kids died at least 13 times during that half hour. DIED, I tell you!! And WHY did it take a half hour?? Because people CUT, that's why! Also, people DIDN'T. BRING. CASH. Oh em gee with the debit and credit cards! It took forever! We had our order ready before we got to the front. The lady in Pacers yellow came to us, we recited what we wanted in over-priced merchandise, she got it, we paid, we moved. The end. It was like the Seinfeld soup nazi episode, I swear. Everyone else in line? George asking where his bread was.
$20+ worth of pretzels, popcorn and drinks later and we FINALLY headed up to our balcony seats. My knees immediately turned to jello and I cried all the way up to my seat. OK, almost cried. Have I mentioned that I hate heights? Because I do. Have I mentioned that the balcony at Conseco it at DEATH degree of steepness? Because it is.
 This does not adequately show the steepness degree, but trust me.
Behold, $14 dollars worth of pretzels. $5 of it was salt.
Yeah, so our tickets were smack in the center of a row that was otherwise full. Now, as a fat person, this is a nightmare. You have to make everyone stand to let you by and if they don't stand, then you have to maneuver your fat knees past their knees and did I mention steepness? And big fat butt in their faces? Uh uh. Not gonna happen. I was begging the children to just please sit down anywhere, please oh please! So, since we were in the nosebleed giveaway section, there were a ton of empty seats so we picked a row and sat. Thank goodness because my jelly knees? Totally melting.
Approximately one minute later, the show started. Stupid debit cards.
So, yay! American Idols Live!! Starting with #10, Michael Sarver. He started with "I'm In Love With A Girl." He was GREAT! I liked him on the show, but he is so much better live! He worked the stage and crowd. His 2nd song was "Closer."
Megan was next and she looked gorgeous! Her hair is a lot shorter than it was and she wore the tight pink dress she's worn during the whole tour. The hooker heels may not be the best idea as she almost fell more than once but she joked about it after her first song, "Put Your Records On." Megan sounded fabulous! She has improved so much since the show! I didn't know her second song but it was fun and her personality shows.
Scott was up next and he came up through the stage with a piano. They've tamed his hair somewhat, but you can see his hair halo in this photo.
Now, I wasn't a big fan of Scott on the show, but he was really good in concert. he's improved greatly and I enjoyed him. He made some cute jokes about the 'high five heard round the world' and that was funny. I feel kind of bad because right now, I can't remember Scott's songs, but really, he was good.
Next up was Lil. WOW! She put on a show! She sounded quite hoarse, but it worked. I wasn't a Lil fan on the show, but I'm telling you, in concert, she is fabulous! She dances and sings her butt off. (and baby DO got back!) "Single Ladies" was crazy fun and she even did some of the Beyonce dance moves. Great! Lil also looked very pretty with long hair and a great outfit. The whole package.
Time for Noop Dawg. He started with a slow song and I hate that. I say start upbeat then slow it down, but what do I know? He was in his typical sweater vest/tie combo and his voice was nice, but he kinda bored me. Even when he sang "My Prerogative." I guess I don't 'believe' him as a performer or some goofy thing like that. Oh well. I don't have anything bad to say, really. Good job, Anoop. (Jameson wanted him to sing, "Beat It.")
Matt Giraud. Matt. Giraud. Matt freakin' Giraud! WOW!!! LOVE!!! He came out singing "Hard To Handle" and it was THE song of the night for me! He commanded that stage, captivated the audience, (well, me, anyway) and brought the house down!! I would watch an entire Matt concert ANY time! He slowed it down with "Georgia" which was so smooth and gorgeous and then sang, "You Found Me" which started...off..and then he pulled it together about :45 in. Not sure if he couldn't hear his monitor or what. I so hope he puts out an album because I am SO there!
The group song consisting of #10-5 singing was really fun. They were all dressed in black and there was dueling pianos with Scott and Matt which was awesome and even some motown-ish dancing at the end. Loved it!
After intermission, and some cotton candy, it was time for Allison. She started with "So What" and I hated it. I can't stand the song, anyway, but Allison didn't sound very good. Also, her mic was too loud. She dropped words and syllables all over the place and that drove me crazy. Even Braelyn commented. "She keeps not saying all the words, Mom." Allison also kind of just runs all over the stage willy nilly. It was just odd to me. Now when she did "Cry Baby" it was MUCH better. Her mic was still bad, but I enjoyed it so much more. "Barracuda" was OK. Just not into Allison in concert, I guess. I wanted to love her a lot but didn't.
Daniel J. Gokey!! LOVE!! Peeee Whyyyyyy Teeeee...I WANT TO LOVE YOU!! Not as growly as on the show, but WOW! He was awesome! I love his "Maria Maria" and his dancing was so fun!! And, whoa! Where did those guns come from?? HOT! "What Hurts the Most" was gorgeous! I've read comments on some other blogs about Danny's 'sermon' before "My Wish For You" and those haters can go suck a lollipop. Danny's comments were nice and heartfelt and a fitting set up for the song. Fantastic Danny set!!! (Boy looks so good in red!!)
Ah, yes. I knew this moment would come. The Adam set. He slaughtered Zeppelin. And I don't mean that in a good way. It was truly painful. The amount of screeching and weird gyrating was truly awful. Jameson kept yelling for me to cover my ears and Braelyn's face was priceless. I wish I'd gotten a picture. Braelyn said, and I quote, "Those are girl moves!" Indeed, sister. Not watching the big screens made the Adam set much more tolerable. The Muse song he did was decent, but wow, he sounded like a woman. I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, but I did look up to see if the backup singer had started the song and Adam was going to join in at some point. Mad World was good, but Brianna and I spent the entire song giving Pauler commentary about the 'depth of his emotions' and fake crying. Hey, we were up high with people who didn't care.
Can't forget the Adam and Allison duet. My lord, their mics were still too loud, but it was pretty good. I thought it was better on the show, though. And then Adam had a...what's that?...a WHIP! A whip with a pink feather on the end. I kid you not. It may or may not have come from the audience, but seriously, a whip?? (upon reading other recaps of shows, I find it did come from the audience. Crazies.) And I am pretty sure he smacked Allison's butt with it. Hmm..inappropriate much??
The crotch shots and additional over-gyrating which was displayed on the big screen was too much during his Bowie medley and I felt like I should be covering my kids' eyes. Blech. Also, the screech with tongue. I caught it on the big screen. Ugh.
And then...Brianna went to the bathroom!! ha ha ha ha... High five, girl! She didn't want to miss Kris singing, "Heartless."
Yay! It was finally time for Kris!! He opened with "Heartless" which I love! "Ain't No Sunshine" was awesome. The song I don't know was great but the Kris highlight for me was, "Bright Lights!!!!" WOW!!! LOVE!!!! "Hey Jude" was great, as well. Kris has an amazing voice and he really put on a great set. There was no loss of concert energy for me, even though many have reported it as such. Indy loved Kris!
The group finale of "Don't Stop Believin'" was last but not least and was a really great end to the show! The only thing that would have made it better would have been if they had sang it like they did on "Glee."

I should mention here that ANOTHER whip/flogger made it into Adam's hands during the finale and I just tried not to look at it. He threw it back into the audience at the end.
And so ends my Idol experience for 2009. I managed to descend the stairs without falling to my death because of the steepness and we made it home all in one piece.
I don't care what any of the Idol naysayers say, an Idol concert is an experience. They always put on a great show with great music. I hope I have the opportunity to go again before the show ends.
It was definitely an awesome night thanks to my agile dialing fingers.
P.S. I do not care what the real Zeppelin sounds like. I do not care if Robert Plant screeched and gyrated his way through every song. I was not reviewing a Led Zeppelin show. I also don't care who else in the music industry had diction problems.

| Top 5 get jazzy |
Tonight with Jamie Foxx (ick) mentoring, the idols sing jazz standards from the Rat Pack. They look great...at least Kris, Danny, Matt and Allison look great. I am pretty indifferent to Adam.
Pauler is wearing one of those napkin dresses but hers has a great big napkin over each boob. Interesting. But she always looks pretty. CAR-uh has some little tank top on which looks displaced next to Pauler's frou frou dress.
Jamie Foxx as the mentor is just why-inducing for me.
Kris Allen is up first looking all cute as a button. He's singing "The Way You Look Tonight." I LOVE this song so much! Kris does a great job with it as I knew he would! It's not boring in the least. It's simple then picks up a bit and I love it. Randy says it was his best so far, which I wouldn't really agree with. The girl judges loved it and Simon didn't think it was incredible, just good. Loved the song and love Kris. 8 1/2 of 10
Allison is the 2nd to sing with "Someone To Watch Over Me." She looks really pretty tonight and just turned 17 yesterday. Love her dress. Parts of the performance I loved and parts I didn't love so much. She slows it down nicely for sure. However, sometimes, I just can't stand how she puts that H sound in front of her words like she is forcing the sound out.
"SomeHhone to Hhwatch Hhover me..." Great job, though, Allison! 9 of 10
Matt's in the middle singing "My Funny Valentine." Matt looks great in his suit and hat! Oh my gosh..LOVE! From the first note. LOVE. I absolutely loved it a lot. I don't care what the judges said. 8 1/2 of 10
Danny's 4th singing, "Come Rain or Come Shine." He looks great in his suit like Kris and Matt and he's wearing his glasses which I think he looks better with than without. OMG. AWESOME. LOVE. LOVE. 9 3/4 of 10
Adam is last singing "Feeling Good." Eh. The beginning was kind of OK. But I am just not a fan. 7 of 10
My number one tonight is Danny! Followed by Matt, Allison, Kris and Adam.
I wouldn't mind Adam leaving though I know he won't. So, I can't make a prediction as I love the other 4. Tomorrow will be sad. :(

| American Idol~Top11 |
Sorry, guys. My blogging has been the suck lately. I have no reason...just apathy, I guess. For now, I'm putting you through yet another AI post. For that, I apologize.

Tonight determines who will be in the Top 10. (Duh! There are 11 people left. One gets voted off tomorrow. See how that works?)
Is it just me or does Ryan just look like a major pipsqueak in his suits?
Tonight's theme is songs from the British Invasion of the early 60s. I'm sure there will be some horrid song choices..and performances.
Haley Scarnato is first. Her song is, "Tell Him." Haley is bra-less and it's obvious. She's also wearing brown shorts. Weird. Cute shoes, though. I think she did fine on the song, but it certainly doesn't showcase her voice at all. She almost sounds out of breath.

Chris Richardson sings "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying." I don't think I've ever heard this song. He's singing it with a guitar player only. Chris is too whispery for my liking. I hate how he is dressed. Blah. Plus, I wish they'd make him grow his hair out like Elliott did last year. Boring song and performance. He sang it ok, though.

Stephanie Edwards goes third singing, "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me." Stephanie looks gorgeous in blue. Stephanie sort of has a weird way of breathing during her songs. She sounded a tad shaky and kind of looked scared for some reason. Stephanie has a really good voice. This may not have been her best performance ever, but by no means was it weak. Just on the boring side, like Chris R.

Blake Edwards sings "Time Of The Season." I HATE his hair almost as much as I HATE his plaid pants. This time, the beat-boxing actually goes with the song well, if you can believe that. A very cool performance. The high notes strained him a bit, but overall a really good performance. I'm scoring him fairly high because it wasn't boring! :)

Lakisha Jones is up next with "Diamonds Are Forever." Lakisha looks great in green, but I can't decide if I like the curly hair. She's wearing a million dollars worth of diamonds. Gorgeous! I don't like her song choice, but man, she can SANG!!

Phil Stacey sings "Tobacco Road." I can't hear this song and NOT picture the guys singing it on the finale last year. At least it wasn't a boring performance. He had lots of fun. It's just that his vocal wasn't that great. He also lacks the "cool" factor.

Jordin Sparks sings "I Who Have Nothing." Jordin looks gorgeous in black and straightened hair. AWESOME performance! She's right up there in the top! It was a slow song that didn't suck because of "boring-ness!" Nothing else to say.

Gina Glocksen sings "Paint It Black." Gina got her hair did. Looks better. Gina did better than last week, but I am not much of a Gina fan. She screeches. Blah. Oh, and I HATED her shirt.

Chris Sligh sings "She's Not There." I become less of a Chris Sligh fan every week. I did not like this one much. He doesn't sound very good if he moves and sings at the same time. It was just ok. Just eh.

Melinda Doolittle is up last singing "As Long As He Needs Me" Melinda got her hair did, too. Melinda is singing a slow one this week. I don't like the song choice, but yes, Melinda can sing. Not her best ever, but she did well. Kind of boring but that doesn't really matter.

| The Top 12 Sing |
Time for the Top 12 to sing. God, did it take FOREVER to get to this point??
Interesting that they didn't showcase Taylor in their opening sequence. Ah, well, I still loves my Taylor Hicks.
Ryan looks decent in his suit. He always looks too scruffy to me, though.
Diana Ross songs tonight. She met with the singers to help coach them. Her hair is HUGE!
First up is...
Brandon Rogers singing "Can't Hurry Love." Nervous around DR. I like his shirt. He has a pretty good stage presence. A couple of cracks of his voice and he forgot a couple of words, but I think he did decent. A tad on the blah side, but I like Brandon better than a few of the others. I say let him stay another week.

Ryan and Simon go at it...at one point, Ryan said, "Stay out of my closet!" and Simon said, "Come out!" HILARIOUS!
Melinda Doolittle singing "I'm Home." (I think?) Melinda is just such a good singer, but I don't always like her song choice. Tonight, she is awesome again. With a capital A. She just has an oddly large head and very little neck. It's strange.

Chris Sligh sings "Endless Love." He lost me as a fan a while back. Oh, he's not wearing his glasses and I think he looks better WITH. He changed up the song and he rushed his lyrics. Some not so good moments during that song. I didn't like it much. (Randy was right when he said it sounded like a particular Coldplay song, I just can't remember which one.) They really have to do something with his helmet of hair.

Gina Glocksen sings "Love Child." She has a screechy sound to her voice on the higher notes and when she tries to get louder. It was ok. Eh, not my favorite.

Sanjaya Malakar sings "Ain't No Mountain High Enough". Ok, they've kind of made Sanjaya look like...Shirley Temple tonight! Why??? It reminds me of the Sucky Bucky hair debacle of 2006! *sigh* Sanjaya needs to go. Even Chicken Little was able to project his decent voice last year. I just didn't like Sanjaya's performance. It was weak and soft and...uh..just...uh...And the discussion after was just uncomfortable. Let's move along now...

Haley Scarnato sings "Missing You." She starts out too whispery. She's holding the mic all up in her grill. (hee hee) A bad song choice for Haley. She sounded pretty bad through the entire song. She forgot her lyrics, too. She has an ugly dress on, too. The judges will rip her for this one. The song, not the dress. What??? Simon thought she did well and had a real presence. What?? I'm shocked. She must be doing him. What? Did I say that out loud?

Phil Stacey sings a song I didn't catch the title to. At least he doesn't have a dorky hat on tonight. Phil reminds me of the "bat boy" that used to be on the cover of that really bad tabloid magazine, "World News." (or something like that.) He just has a weird look about him. Ok, on to the singing. I guess I am just jaded this year. I didn't think it was that great, but at least it was better than most of the others. He hit a couple of bad notes, but it was ok. He did better than last week, for sure.

Lakisha Jones sings "God Bless the Child." Lakisha looks so very pretty tonight in her white gown and simple hair. An AWESOME performance! She didn't over sing at all. I think I even liked her a little more than Melinda.

| GTHOTS #2 |
It's GTHOTS night number 2. Who will go home tonight? Let's see how it all goes down...
Group song time..."Joy To the World." Not quite the cheesy choreography as last week. The song was ok, but a couple of the solos were kinda..bad.
First guy to GTHOTS is Nick Pedro.
First girl to GTHOTS is Alaina Alexander. She didn't really handle the whole last song thing very well. Saying "oh god" and "sorry" into the mic when she messed up.
Kelly Pickler..blah blah blah..a set up conversation with Ryan about sushi. Then she sings and doesn't move. At. All. Her head and mouth moved, but her body...arms..legs..nothing..moved! That was odd.
2nd guy to GTHOTS is AJ Tabaldo. Should have been Sanjaya.
2nd girl to GTHOTS is Leslie Hunt. No surprise.

| AI-Top 10 boys night |
Well, let's hope tonight is better than last week!!
Each singer has been asked to dedicate their performance to someone special.
Phil Stacey dedicated to his naval base or something..I kinda missed it. He's singing "Missing You." A song from back in the day, Tara. I liked Phil back during his audition and last week, but tonight, not so much. His pointy ears are distracting. (I know that has nothing to do with his singing.) He did ok with that song. Not a powerhouse performance, but it was ok. The so-called "big notes" were pretty good. I have to agree with Simon. He's very likeable just not "unique."
Ryan asked Sundance what people told him after last week. He said, "They pretty much told me not to be crappy." Now that was funny!
Jared Cotter sings Marvin Gaye, "Let's Get It On." Dedicated to his mom and dad who encouraged him to go to the audition. Boy is kinda purty. Some major eyebrows going on. I guess the girls just spoiled me last week, but this is just kinda blah. Nothing great. He's just good. Simon won't be impressed, I think. Simon calls it "Love Boat."
AJ Tabaldo dedicates to his parents. He's singing...a song I don't know, of course. I don't like him, however, he is doing the best of the night so far. That's not saying much. I can't stand names like AJ, RJ, TJ..etc. Not on Idol, anyway. It's weird. Anyway, his singing was better than last week and it was a pretty good song. Simon actually kind of liked him.
Sanjaya Malakar dedicates to his grandfather. He sings...something jazzy and old. This kid has got to go. Song choice, boo. Performance, boo. This is something he would sing at a high school choir show. (say hello to this year's chicken little) Not good. (by the way, I said the high school thing before Randy did.)The scary thing about Sanjaya is..he sounds and acts a little like Michael Jackson. Tres creepy.
Chris Sligh dedicates to his wife Sarah. Whoa..his wife is pretty hot..not what you expect. His hair is kinda poofy tonight. Chris sings "Trouble." He won't be able to do it like Taylor did last year, that's all I have to say. This song is WAAAAAY too soulful for his voice. Once again, he did ok. Nothing great. Kinda blah. At least he didn't try to be hilarious this week or talk back to Simon.
Nick Pedro dedicates to his girlfriend, Kaitlyn and he's singing "Fever." Not a bad voice, just kinda boring. Not much else to say.
Blake Lewis dedicates to his parents. Blake looks like a complete dork in that hat. He sings "Virtual Insanity." Perfect song for his voice. Best of the night even with the beat boxing/scratching that was completely unnecessary and it is getting old.
God, Paula and Randy need to shut up and leave Simon alone. I hate that they are allowed to not like someone, but the first second Simon voices his opinion, they freak out. I HATE this show so much! But I love it. :)
Brandon Rogers dedicates to his grandmother. He sings "Time After Time." He really should have gone with something up tempo. His voice sounds good though it was pretty boring. Like Simon says, he needs to make a WOW impact. That is exactly right.
Simon is so funny. He is right, though, just sing!
Chris Richardson dedicates to his grandma. He's singing "Geek In the Pink." Pretty good. At least it's upbeat. Not much else to say, really. Randy..huh? He thought it was better than the original?? Mmkay.
Sundance Head dedicates to his son Levi. He sings "Ride Sally Ride." He is much more in his element and doesn't look like he is about to pass out. Much much better, Sundance. A fun performance, probably not his best, but wow what an improvement!
Overall, a much better night than last week. The girls will bring it tomorrow, I'm sure.
My bottom 2: SANJAYA and SANJAYA...but, since he isn't going anywhere (I don't think), I'll go with Nick Pedro and Brandon Rogers only because they were so boring.Labels: american idol |

| GTHOTS #1 |
Well, tonight is the first GTHOTS* episode.
Ryan announced some of the special guests that will be on this season...J-Lo, Gwen Stefani, Jon Bon Jovi, Barry Gibb and a few others that I can't remember at the moment.
Then, we are blessed cursed with a group song. I hate the group songs. Super cheese! Super amusement park show! Tonight is "Sowing the Seeds of Love" by Tears For Fears, complete with lame choreographed snapping. I love that song. Just not sung by the AI singers.
The first male toGTHOTS....Paul Kim! He of the "I must sing barefooted" butcher-er of "Careless Whisper." I was too nice the other night. He was pretty bad.
The first female to GTHOTS...Amy Krebs! She of the...who? What'd she sing again? Did we ever see her before this?
Great...Fantasia guests to sing one of her songs. I never liked her back during her season. That was a bad season. Oh, she has braces now. She pronounces sister as "shishter" and still as "shtill". That's not annoying. She still screeches. I still don't like her.
The 2nd female to GTHOTS...Nicole Tranquillo! She of the...weird vocals. Really..what was that? I didn't remember her before Tuesday night, either.
And finally, the 2nd male to GTHOTS...Rudy Cardenas! He of the bulls-eye shirt and bad dancing. His performance was a bit cheesy.
True to rumors...they are using Daughtry's "Home" as the goodbye song! Yay, Chris!!
And so ends the first GTHOTS episode of the season.

| I can't help myself... |
Ok, guys, if you hate American Idol, I'm sorry...but I just can't NOT blog about Idol. I just like to look back at my posts as the season goes on. Tonight is the first night of Top 24 competition. It's the boys' night to sing.
First up is...
Rudy Cardenas sings Free Ride. This guy reminds me of someone but I can't think of who. Clay Aiken? I don't know. This guy is forgettable. He had lots of energy, but he is not my favorite. Kinda cruise-shippy.
Brandon Rogers sings Rock With You. He has a nice smooth voice, has a good stage presence and is very good looking. He did well, but he didn't shine. I like him better than the first guy.
Sundance Head sings Knights in White Satin. Oh my. Not good. His audition must have been a fluke. I'm sad because I thought he might end up being my favorite. Nope. He was all over the place on a song he should have never chose to sing!
Paul Kim sings Careless Whisper. This guy sings barefoot and that gets on my nerves. It's a gimmick that is just...silly. BAD song choice. Started way too low and then hit a BAD high note! I liked his auditions, but this was pretty bad. If he stays, I hope he gets better.
Chris Richardson sings I Don't Wanna Be. Not bad. He's got a Justin Timberlake feel to him. He's bouncing up and down too much. His performance was fun, though not the best singing-wise. His dad was funny in the audience.
Nick Pedro sings I Will Be Your Man. Soooo slow....It's ok. He's singing safe. He was boring though he sang one high note well. What the heck is with the song choices tonight????
Blake Lewis sings a song I can't remember the name of. It's slow. Pretty boring. He did ok. Nothing spectacular. He didn't ruin the song with beat boxing, thank goodness!
Sanjaya Malakar sings another song I don't know. Slow. Boring. Not very good. Off key. Next!
Chris Sligh sings Typical? Was that the song title? I don't know. He rushed the song but it was ok. Not stellar, but he's fun. The song didn't showcase his voice at all.
Ok, I liked Chris Sligh in the beginning, but he just lost tons of points with me. I HATE when the singers "talk back" to Simon. HATE. Sing, take your criticism and get off the stage.
Jarrod Cotter sings Back At One. Not bad. Stage presence is pretty good. Not a bad song for his voice, though boring. Sounded too close to the original song. He is a good looking man, for sure.
AJ Tabaldo sings no idea. He was energetic, but very forgettable. I didn't like his audition so I'm already not a fan.
Phil Stacey sings I Could Not Ask For More. That started kinda poorly but it got MUCH better! One of the best of the night. Still, he didn't blow me away.
*sigh* The boys pretty much sucked. Hope the girls do better tomorrow.

Jaw update...I know I keep talking about it, but imagine for a moment how very frustrating it is for someone who likes to eat can't enjoy food anymore. (there is something very grammatically wrong with that sentence but I am too tired to fix it) Besides helping her lose 11 pounds so far, it is VERY frustrating! Anyway, I can open my mouth a tad more today! Yay me! It's far from being normal, but today, I could fit a York Peppermint Patty between my teeth. Hallelujah!
Rob a jewelry store and tell 'em make me a grill... yeah, that song is playing now, what of it??
I will have myself an mp3 player in the next few days. No, it's not an iPod, and yes, it is used, but I kind of feel like one of the cool kids now. Brianna got her birthday present a little early...a new cell phone that has an mp3 player in it so she is giving me her mp3 player. She has to teach me how to use it first. I'm a dork that way. Plus, I need to unload it of all the songs I don't like...that should be fun.
So, I don't know if you've heard but that little team from Indianapolis is goin' to the SUPER BOWL. Ya know..the COLTS!! Yeah, Indiana has gone Colts crazy and that is fine by me. I love me some Colts. Bubba bought me a new Colts shirt to wear Sunday. We're having our own little Super Bowl party here. Well, if you can call me, Bubba and two kids a party. You know me. I'm totally not about a crowd of people in a small space. Party or not. We're still trying to decide what food to have.
We get our new carpet in a couple of weeks. Be prepared for photos. I'm warning you now.
Are you guys proud of me? I haven't been talking about American Idol. I'm watching but the auditions suck so bad, I'm not bothering to talk about it. Be proud, your little blogger is growing up!
Ok, it's late and I need to get sleep. Tomorrow I will tell you about how I've joined the ranks of nerdy mom. Until then...toodles.

We finally got a supervisor! Yay! Longest 3 months of my life.
Almost ready to send my Biggest Loser video and appy.
American Idol was way too drawn out last night. Could've been done in one hour instead of 2. 3 more weeks of auditions. Ugh.
Armed & Famous is cracking my shizz UP! Guess you have to be from Muncie. It's on again tonight.
Yes, I am posting this at 4:30am.
There really isn't anything else to tell.
