Just so you know |
I just want you all to know that I WILL be saying Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on this blog. I will not be saying Happy Holidays.(I have never uttered the words, "Happy Holidays" to anyone, ever. It's not a phrase I say.)
I also will NOT be offended if you wish me Happy "insert holiday name here".
I refuse to be "politically correct." Whatever that means.
That's all I have to say about that. |

To me, the wording matters little. I am grateful that anyone would take the time to wish me and my family well at any time of the year.

Thank you for standing up for what you believe and not shying away because someone might be offended. Offense is not given it's taken. People choose how they feel. I will join you in saying Merry Christmas and the whole lot!

Remember when Happy Holidays just meant Happy time in and around christmas and new years? We used to say it a long time ago... But now it is all political. Oh well...

Eid Mubarak! Blessed Eid!
Taqabbala Allahu minna wa minkum. May Allah accept from us, and from you.

I agree with you, oh and I do say "One Nation Under God" and "In God We Trust" as well.

I hate being politically correct,, I do however wish those that celebrate different holidays happy whatever holiday they celebrate. Hanukah, Kwanza,, etc.
But for everyone Happy Holidays,, nope,, nuh-uh,, not happening.

Well, I'm on your side..they are seperate holidays, I ain't combining them either.

Good for you, Angie!
I ALWAYS say Happy Christmas, and write that word down when doing my cards.
Down with 'Happy Holidays'!!!

Strangers in the night. Opened up the computer this morning and got your comment on my post. This afternoon I decided to surf and here you are.
I was suprised to have three comments on my post and see, at this point, that you have ten. Greetings are touchy subject.

I so freakin agree with you. Merry Christmas! Happy Easter! Happy everything else! I will buy cards that say Merry Christmas in them and if someone doesn't like it, too bad, so sad!
Being politically correct is way overrated. And, I think we're all just fed up with it.

You go, girl!!! It's your blog...do what you wanna do! I am with you all the way. Your family celebrates Christmas, so your blog will discuss Christmas. duh. Sometimes the whole PC thing is just too much!
