Put your mittens in, put your mittens out...
So, on Christmas Eve, Brianna spent the evening driving around town looking for icing for the cookies we were leaving out for santa. Literally all over town. NOTHING but Village Pantry and Wal-greens was open. Neither had icing. (frosting..whatever you choose to call the stuff) Neither had powdered sugar so we could make our own. FINALLY she went back to her boyfriend's grandma's house, where she started, and got a can of icing that she had. We are nothing if not prepared.

Anyway, in the meantime, we waited. And watched the 35th showing (in a row) of "A Christmas Story" on TBS. The kids were dying to open their one Christmas Eve present (pjs, of course, like every year), but we had to wait for sissy to get home with the much sought after icing.

Here are a couple of videos of the partying that occurred while we waited. First up is Jameson doing... The SNOWkey Pokey! (I did edit this video to be right side up, but blogger won't post it like that. Just turn your head to the side and it should be fine. hee)

I particularly like the collapse at the end, don't you?? That's my boy.

Next up is a rousing rendition of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, complete with Bubba NOT helping any. You'll see. Please disregard the camera person singing along. She's all out of tune and stuff...

Brianna finally made her way home WITH ICING! The kids opened their Christmas Eve pjs and then iced and sprinkled the cookies and headed upstairs to sleep in big sister's room.

I managed to only stay up until about 1am wrapping presents. This is good considering I almost always stay up until well past 3 getting the last of the wrapping done.

It was a fun Christmas Eve.

If you needed icing so bad all you had to do was ask. I have plenty.
