Thin is in?? |
Isn't that what they say? Thin is in. Well, I just wish FAT was where it's at! This whole losing weight thing is for the birds!! It's too hard! (read that with a certain whiney inflection.) I've only been trying to change my bad habits since Tuesday and already it is driving me crazy. There is birthday cake in the kitchen....ice cream in the freezer...I had a salad last night at McDonalds instead of a big old sloppy Big Mac. I'm doing it but I DON'T LIKE IT!!! I want to be one of those girls with a metabolism that burns every calorie upon entry into her body. WHY can I not be one of those people?? Why do I have to exercise to see a difference? Why can't I be lazy and lose weight?? This sucks! (end poor-me rant)
And how was YOUR weekend?? :) |

I admire your dedication to the cause despite how tough it is.
My wife's facing a similar challenge, and I know how gutsy you have to be to see it through.
I know you'll manage to succeed. The spirit is in your words.

I am SO there with you...why can't cookies and cake be diet food? Why can't eating greasy burgers cause your metabolism to jump up and do jumping jacks while you're sitting down???
I NEED to drop some weight...10 would be nice, 15 even better...20 would be healthy! I'll follow your blog and see what happens...maybe you'll inspire me to do something.
Michele sent me!

Ohhhhh...I feel your pain! I want to be thin and have muscles AND I want to be able to eat cake and cookies and pizza and Big Macs (though admitedly, not all at the same time because I do have limits...)
And I totally swiped that kitten picture, so that I can look at it again later and laugh... too cute.
here via Michele's this time!

I've got three teen girls sitting in the next room talking about how fat they are and how thin is cool. It drives me nuts.

In the same boat. I have helped my mom lose 60 pounds, seen my brother do the same and my daughter get rid of her college 15 in the last few months. All of them using variations of the South Beach diet based on the low carb, high protein (but low fat) and the good carb/bad carb route. (Key word - glycemic index) It works for them. Mom is diabetic and this was the only one she could do. But, she still has to bake and she can't eat it so who else is there but my dad and I. I am next in line for this.... I hate to sweat.

Definitely with you on THAT one! I'm still not understanding why the effort to consume an entire apple pie can't make one LOSE weight. The unfairness of it all...
